Exploring the World

For half of term 2 we have been working on our kete called "Our World, Our Life", but our topic for our kete is Science.  So in the first few weeks of our kete we went to different classes to try out the first class we tried out was obviously our own class, in our class we did the marble run and we had to see which one goes around the track the longest.

In the next class which was 7Al we learned about experiments with citric acid and many more which I probably don't remember although it was a really cool and I learned a lot.  Next was 7Tz, we learnt about parachutes and how they work and also how to make one that stays up in the air for longer.  Lastly was 7Ds although I was not there since I was in ESOL, I heard that the lesson was about flight and how an airplane flies through the air.

After all the experimenting we had time to get into groups and figure out what we were gonna for our presentation for our kete.  I was with Chloe and Mikayla, we did astronomy and we had to figure out a question to our genre.  We had  to experiment to find out things, when we finished we ended up making a google slide and a rocket ship.

Our Question was: What are the conditions on Earth that make it suitable for humans to live on and where else could we live?

Street Art

This week and last week for kete we had to create our own street art that represents our country and ourselves.  So in week 9 we had to look at the different kinds of street art so then after that in the following week we had to create a draft about out personality and something about our country.  After making the draft we explained what it means to us and why we drew it. 

So then after after that we had to create our final copy within 4 days luckily I finished it before the due date.  Even though it maybe is too late to post this please enjoy!

Explanation:
The inside of the circle means the weather in the Philippines because I was born in the Philippines and also because there are only 2 season in the Philippines which is rain and summer.  So then the the butterfly represents me because I like and it is coloured like the galaxy.  Lastly the background represents the different colours of different kinds of people (meaning in there hearts). 

Reflection: I think I liked my work and did a great job, but maybe next I should be more clear about how I explain what it means to me. 

"WE ARE HORNBY"

In week 5 - 6, we had to make a brochure or a slideshow for our Kete work.  So what we had to do was we have to partner up with someone and decided what we are doing so my partner was Mikayla.  Mikayla and I decided to make a brochure cause we though it would look really cool.  

When we started working we, were on speed bump, because we didn't know what we were supposed to do, we asked for help and eventually our project turned out very good.

We worked really hard to make this in time so I hope you like it. 

Our Rights and Responsibilities

This week in Kete we have been learning about  our Rights and Responsibilities, and we had to do a T-Chart.  So then after the T-Chart we had to create a poster about our roles and responsibilities in our communities which we learned last week.
