Reflective Comment: I personally think I did pretty well with this one. I don't think I have that much mistakes but is you can point it out it would be great!
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Written Methods are so boring.....
Hello people! I am back with another DLO this time it is about decimals. We have left integers and killed it..... Just kidding we have mastered integers and we are onto our next part of maths. I have made DLO on how to solve decimals like "45.89" in written methods. That is all I have to say, please enjoy and try to learn something!

"The room is cold if you subtract."
Hello, everyone! Welcome to another post, as you can see from my latest post the title is quite similar, and if you thought this was another DLO well your right. So this time it is about subtracting integers. Well, I hope you enjoy and learn something!
Reflective Comment: I have to say that this one is probably better than the one I did before. I had said it clearer, for me I would think that it is quite easy to understand.

"The room is hot once you add."
Hello people! Welcome to another post. Today I have another DLO, this one is another part to the integers. This time we are now gonna learn how to add integers. To be honest I literally don't know what to write so heading to the video. Please enjoy and learn something!
Reflective Comment: I think I did a pretty good job explaining. But next time I should know what to say and have a clear voice.

Continue the Games!
Hello people! Do you remember the post where I did the rules about Continuous Cricket? Well, today I did something a bit different we had to create our own game. To be honest it was really fun and we got to also learn other peoples games. Here is the game I wrote:
So like the other game post (continuous cricket) I used the same template.

RUN ALL THE WAY!
Hello people! Welcome again to another post. Today, well actually not today but on the 7th of March, we had an athletics day! (Which was on a Thursday) Though this was probably meant to be posted that week, I have to admit I was really tired and lazy. Anyways I just want to share what we had done. Let's get started!
(I am sorry that there are no photos)
Athletics this year was a fun and bright experience. This year again we had to pick either competitive or Social. So in competive, you compete with other people within your age. In social you get to participate in all of the events meaning the 5 main events, like sprints (60m), high jump, long jump, shot put and discuss.
Competitive events started at 9:00am, and my first event was at 9:35am, which means I had an I lot of time to warm up and stretch. But my friend was unlucky and her first even was at 9:10am, which was shot put. After the shot put was finished we went to our second event, she and I had the same even at this time so we both went together we only got to jump once since we had to go to our next event which was again the same.
Our next event was at 9:45am, and it was 200m run/sprints (?), we had it with my other friend which was a bit older than us. We had to wait like 4 minutes before it was our turn. I was in the first race with two other people, one was my friend and the other was another friend. Our teacher (P.E teacher), got us ready told us what we needed to do. So just like that, we fired off those things that start a race (?), I don't really know what it is called. But we took off after that, after a few seconds I had already arrived at the finish line as first place.
Now onto the next event which was at 10:50am, it was high jump, I wasn't with my friend this time because she didn't think she could do it. So I jumped the first 2 well, but at the third, I failed 3 times, I think it was over 1m high. I personally think I did a good job because people tell I am quite short.
Onto the next event which was discus. I have to be honest I am very bad at discus though I still tried it out it was actually very fun on the first throw I got it out of the line which I was pretty disappointed about. But the next one I think I did a good job. Overall I think I did quite good but I think I could do better than that.
Onto my last event which I had to wait 2 hours for, it was the 1500m run/ Long distance. Just to tell you guys this is very hard, it was also very windy which made it very hard to run. This was at 1:30pm. So I think it took about 10/5 minutes for us to finish. At the first 3 laps, I was doing very well and I was in the lead. But on the 4th lap, the wind was really strong and it pushed me like pushed me out of the line, I may have gotten weaker due to that. But overall I have to say I did a great job.
To say the day was terrible would be a lie since it was a fun and bright day, people did have a lot of fun and I am pretty sure everyone enjoyed it.

Te Paint
Hello people! Today I am writing about what we did at Japanese last week, I know I should have done it last week. Anyways we did some calligraphy. What is calligraphy you may ask? Well here is what Google says:
'Calligraphy is a visual art related to writing. It is the design and execution of lettering with a broad tip instrument, brush or other writing instruments. A contemporary calligraphic practice can be defined as "the art of giving form to signs in an expressive, harmonious and skilful manner"
Meaning writing letters in a fancy way. But for Japanese, we did Japanese calligraphy where you have to write a Japanese character in a fancy/artistic way. Anyways, here are some pictures of what I have drawn.
The paint we used for this was Indian paint, it is the paint that is used for calligraphy in modern days. In the old day's ink was in blocks, so to use the ink, you have to use water. So what they would do is put a little bit of water on a stone then rub the block on the stone to make the ink. Anyways that is all for now, Bye!
