Business and Enterprise
Week 1: During the first week of Business and Enterprise, we were introduced to the topic and guest speakers told us about their business, how they work and how they managed to to get to where they are now. During our Wananga class, we learned more about the topic and got to create our groups. We only were allowed to have 4 people in our group and they each had a role. The CEO (Chief Executive Officer), Marketing Manager, Production Manager and Sales/Finance Manager.
Week 2: During the second week we started on our business plans, and another round of guest speakers were introduced to us. Our group was split up and we were allocated a place where a guest speaker would talk about our role in the business. I was CEO so I had to be in a group with all the CEOs. We also started our Financial Report. We also did our letter of application to give to our teacher so that they can accept our company.
Week 3: We started our poster for the front of our stall, we then started or marketing, like creating our logos, a slide presentation to be shown to the school and the community and lastly a poster for our stall. We did that for the rest of the week since our topic was food and our production starts on the fourth week.
Week 4: Week 4 was the week of the market day, so we only had 2 days to fully create both of our products. On Monday we created our Jelly for our Coffee Jelly and on Tuesday we completed making the Leche Flan and Coffee Jelly. Then on Wednesday 23rd September, we had our Market day.
Market Day
On the morning of the market day we all were busy trying to create our foods and set up our stalls outside this was between 8:40 to 9:30. At 10 we took out our products and displayed them on our table. Market Day officially started at 10:30 am, our stall had many people that bought coffee jelly and we had sold out of it really early, and near the middle of the market day we sold out our flans and people bought 2 flans with meringue for $2.00, which I thought was a very good deal. We also had a dj during market day, which I thought was very convenient.
