Continue the Games!

Hello people! Do you remember the post where I did the rules about Continuous Cricket? Well, today I did something a bit different we had to create our own game. To be honest it was really fun and we got to also learn other peoples games. Here is the game I wrote:

So like the other game post (continuous cricket) I used the same template.

Bingo!

Written by: Lyan

Objective

Step on other people’s foot or cut peoples arm and foot out, to get them out and be the last one standing. (Not actually cutting)

Players

You must have eight to ten players in one game. You can work in pairs to get other people out but people must not know you are working together.

Scoring

To get someone out and get a point you must step on there foot.

Winning

When there are only two people left in the each have quick turns to get the people out.

Rules

  • Eight to ten people must be spread out a vast area, they are in a circle. (Preferably a big square.)
  • There must be boundaries between the players one meter away from each other or arm length.
  • To get someone out you must step on their foot before they move away.
  • Players must be aware of their surroundings and look out for the people who are close to them.
  • To make a move on someone you must jump, forward and sideways. You cannot move backwards.
  • You can only move back when a person is attacking you.
  • When a person attacks you it is when they attempt to step on your foot.
  • If you fall when you are jumping/landing you are out.
  • You can’t gang up on one person, you have to at least get everyone out.
  • To attack you need to attempt to step on there foot, you must move fast to be able to get them out before they move their foot.
  • When there are only two people left, they must take turns very quickly for either one of them to win.
  • To start the game you need to gather all the players in the middle. Once that is done put your foot and hands and the middle and when someone says “Bingo!” You need to jump to the nearest side or corner.
  • You can’t take two or more jump, you take a step but no more than one.
  • Another attack is when you cut off someone’s arm, Not actually but just touching the arm, you can also cut their legs.

CONTINUE THE CRICKET!

Hello, amazing people, today I am posting the final writing for the rules for Continuos Cricket. I would like to thank my friend(s) for giving great feedback to improve my writing/rules. I have edited the rules and added more rules. Anyways here is my final draft!
Continuous Cricket Rules

Written by: Lyan De Guzman

Object

The object of the game is by hitting the ball and running, your team must get more than the other team.

Players

The class is divided into two groups.

Equipment

We are using the following Kiwi Cricket equipment:
  • 2x bats
  • 2x balls
  • 1x full wicket set (a stand and 3x wickets)
  • 2x spare wickets
  • 1x wicket stand

Scoring

Once you hit the ball, you must run into a side, you also need to return before the ball is thrown to the wickets. So that the batter won’t hit the wickets, and that means you won’t be able to go out.

Winning

You can win by getting the most runs, even if you did not hit the ball you can still run.

Rules

  • You can get someone out by catching the ball (if hit) on the full, or if the ball bounces once you have to catch it with one hand.
  • You have to switch the baller (the person who throws a ball) and the batter.
  • The teams must be divided and have an equal amount of students.
  • You must run even if you don’t hit the ball.
  • You have to run one way.
  • You have to throw underarm.
  • There has to be a wicketkeeper and a baller, each has to change to let everyone play.
  • The batting has to be at least 2-3 metres away.
  • The bowler must stay in the balling place, while the other players get the ball to pass to the baller.
  • If you get 3 people from the batting team out the batting team and bowling team must swap, and if the bowling team gets 3 people out from the batting team they again have to swap positions.
  • If you run you must put your bat over the wicket which is laid on the ground on each side of the main wickets.
  • Make sure to have fun!
  • Everyone must commit to playing the game.
  • If your team gets out and get back again you must stay in your previous position.
  • The winning team is the people who have the most runs.
  • Only the bowler can get the batter out.
  • To get the bowler out quicker, the fielding team must quickly get the ball and pass it to the bowler.
  • The fielding team must spread out so that they can catch the ball and get the batter out easier.
  • The bowler must be 7 metres away from the batter.
Reflective Comment: I personally think I did a good job with remembering all the rules and describing how to win, score and the objective of the game. Though the feedback wasn't enough (for me) I still think I have improved just a little bit.
