Following on from my other wood technology post, I will be sharing with my last project for wood tech! (This year) So after the whirligig project, we had another project we had to do before the end of the term. So we had to make another structure out of a small piece of square wood. I decided it would be cool to do a doughnut as it would be decorative and cute.
So I started by cutting off the edges of the square to make it a circle, luckily I was working with who knows what to do so we cut it then filed, sand it and then we needed to make a hole in the middle. After that, we decided that we were going to paint it to make it look more like a doughnut. While the doughnut was drying we set up a stand where we could glue the doughnut in to make it stand. Here is my final result.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Donuts!
EARTHWORM SALLY!
Hi everyone! Welcome to another post today I will be sharing with you my creations from Wood Technology. We did wood tech in term two, this is a subject where we get a chance to make some cool structures. In the first project, we had to make a Whirligig, it is similar to a wind turbine, but way, way smaller.
So basically what we had to do was create something out of some wood, can be anything then add any decoration we want to add, then cut out some flaps from some wood and then decorate that if you want too. After that get something that can make the flaps turn: (Sorry if blurry). Then attached the flap on with some wood glue, and then of course wait until it dries. After that, we got these circular pies were we needed to attach the flaps on to the structure we made with the wood. Lastly, we added another circular piece of wood except longer, it was so we could the whirligig up.
