NO MORE SWIMMING!!!😭

Our class swimming in Canterbury is about to end, but lets not get depressed, lets enjoy the last day of swimming in Canterbury Swim School.  It had been a hectic 2 weeks in the swim school, sure we learned a lot skill and we also improved in our swimming.  "What Skills Have yo learned?" Well a lot, "Like what?", there's, Freestyle/Bubble breathing, Backstroke, tumble turn and many more.

Goal⚽⚽:
Remember in last weeks blog post, i told you about  my Goal, "What was your Goal?", well my goal was to swim 3 full lengths of the big pool.  It was really hard practice, but I trained well and I achieved my goal.  It was really hard to achieve but I tried my best.  "Make sure you try your best on your Goals😊👍."

Safety Lesson👍:
For the last day lesson we learned about water safety, like survival backstroke and how to save people from drowning, there are a lot of things we learnt.  It was really fun lesson, but me and my friends were split up, but thats was okay because I get to know other people more rather than just staying with my other friends.

In my group, we were learning how to save people if they are drowning. So the instructor asked us about the first thing to do when trying to save people and that was to "Check your Safety" next was "See if they actually need help" next was "Call For help" and lastly if you were the only one there and you had a rope with you, you would "Get, Down and Get low" to pull them in.

Reflective Comment:  I had improved more but, my next goal would be to swim 4 lengths of the pool without stopping.

I had a great last year in Canterbury swim school, here is some pictures of me learning about safety.

SWIMMING!! Jump In!

Its finally Term 4, that means its swimming time.  So we went to Canterbury Swim School to learn some swimming skill.  We will be going there for 2 weeks, then after the two weeks we will be taking the lessons in our own school.

1:What,Where and Why
In Term 3, there was a notice that went home that we will swimming at the first day of the term, Monday 16 October.  We went at 11:00 am, we boarded a bus, the bus was pretty big.  On the way to the swim school, my friends and I were talking about being in the same group.  In Canterbury Swim school, they put you in to groups with some instructors.

2:Taking a first look👀
When we arrive at our destination, we lined up outside.  Inside we took of our shoes with the socks and went inside.  After we changed we sat in the wet chairs, to listen to what the instructor was saying, and which groups we where in.  I heard my name and went to my instructor.  She was a girl, I didn't know her name but she was nice and polite.

3: Getting Into it
So we started by doing some kicking using a board.  Then we moved on to doing some freestyle up to the end.  It was pretty hard because I couldn't reach the bottom of the pool.

From the swimming I did for today, a few days from now my goal, would be to be able to swim 3 lengths of the big pool.

Reflective Comment: Well I can improve on becoming a great swimming, next time I should be a little bit more calmer.
Here you can see a video of me doing freestyle.
