Home Chemistry: Mars

Aim: To learn about Mars exploration.

1. Rover facts
2. Design, Draw and Make a Rover
3. Mars facts

1. Rover facts:

What are the 5 parts for?
Link: Rovers 5 parts
Fill in the table below.

Name:
Purpose:
Wheels
The Mars Rover has six wheels and each of it has its own individual motor. The steering capability of the rover allows the rover to in spot, it turns a full 360 degrees. The four wheels steering also allows the rover to swerve and curve.
Solar Panel
The rover requires electrical power to operate if there's no power the rover would not operate. The rover carries a radioisotope system, this power produces electricity.
Laser
The super cam is located in the main head of the rover and it fires a laser at mineral targets that are beyond the reach of the rovers robotic arms.
Camera
There is a total of 23 cameras on the rover, 9 of the cameras are for engineering, 7 of the cameras are sciences cameras and 7 of them are landing, descending and entry cameras.
Shovel, rock pick,drill
These are called the sample handling, the rover will gather samples from the rocks and soil using its drill. The rover will then store the sample in tubes on the surface.

Planets that we could possibly live on (Part 2)

Hello again fellow views, today I am gonna complete my other post, planets we could possibly live on. Applause everyone applause. So I am gonna tell you the first planet that we could possibly live on. So here it is:

Information:
Mars is probably the most well-known planet that we have discovered. That's because we humans have been there and observed what's there. Mars is only a few hundred million kilometres from Earth. In the near future, some space companies are planning on colonizing Mars.

There isn't anything to talk about Mars because Mars is pretty popular in the space community. Mars also has 2 moons they are called Phobos and Deimos.

Why? Why is Mars one of the most Earth-like planets?

It is because Mars is a closer and is also a rocky planet. Mars is also a great candidate for life with its ancient water, rich soil, the amount of sunlight and a similar day length that is only 40 minutes longer than Earth. Although Mars gravity is 38% weaker compared to Earth, but it is still within the acceptable range for us to survive.

Thank you so much for viewing this post, hope you enjoyed and I hope you learned something. Anyways have a great day!

Reflection: I think I did very well on both of them because I added the right information and added some pictures to help them see what kind of planet they are. Next time I should include videos.
