24 Hour Time Clock

Here we are in Term 3, for this term we are working on fractions and time.  We looked at time before fractions.  We learned how to use 24 hour time, who uses it and how to use it. I have made a DLO to show you how 24 hour time is used and why.
Hope you like it!
Reflective Comment: I think I did a great job and I think next time I should do some more explaining and make it clear.

No Sun, wait! what?

W.A.L.T: Create a presentation that gives visual recount of a poem.
W.A.L.T: Read fluenlty
For the last week of term we have been looking at poetry, we read a poem by James Brown, the title of his poem is No Sun.  I we worked in groups, in my group I had Kea, Mikayla, Keyana and I.  We made a DLO that is telling you more about the poem so you don't have to get confused in the poem. The DLO is an animation/Stop motion.

Reflective comment: I would have to say we did pretty well on our DLO next time we can make the picture ourselves.

Easter Bunny?, no, Easter Island!!

Wow!, it has been a very long term, learning about mysteries and, creating our models for our mystery!
Keyana, Joshua, Aisa, Travis and I, worked together to make our model to teach other people what Easter Island was like or should I say "Rapa Nui!"  We have been making these creation for approximately 6 weeks "That's a pretty long time!"  Our creation is about the special statues of Easter island (Rapa Nui) they are called Moai's.  We also made it 3D , with 3D mountains  and hills.

Planning and Learning

First we had to learn more things about the island, (Quick Fact, the people who made them honored them to their ancestors.) We all learn't a lot of things especially the history of Easter Island.  We collected some information about moving the Moai.  We also got to see some close ups of the Moai.  Next we moved on to our planning stage, we drawled a 2D model in our Chromebooks so we know what we are doing.

Making and Creating

It was now time for the creating part, first we had to draw then we did a whole week of paper mache,  it was really really messy.  Then we created the mountains and hills which we got a little help from our lovely teachers.  We made 3 mountains, then we half of us did some painting and some made the moai, which took a pretty long time.

Finished?
We thought we were finished but we still weren't we still need to paint the mountains and hills.  We double checked our plan and we made sure we were finished.
"Yay! Yay!"
