When we started this hurumanu watched interesting documentaries about coronavirus and sustainability. After watching the documentaries we then looked at 360࿁ videos showing animals and landmarks around the world. In the following sessions, we then shifted our focus onto maths, we learned about statistical inquiry and why collecting data is important. Next, we moved on to learning about sustainability, aspects of sustainability and some natural resources. Then we learned how to construct paragraphs and sentences some sustainability issues. We continued writing paragraphs and researching on sustainability issues. In the remaining weeks, we again shifted our focus onto maths, this time learning about measurement. Our last activity was creating a dream room, house or property on a 3D scale.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Sustainability Term 2
Hi everyone! Welcome to another post. Term 2 is currently coming to an end and for sustainability, we were told to create 2 paragraphs, one was a summary of our learning and another one, reflecting in our learning.
When we started this hurumanu watched interesting documentaries about coronavirus and sustainability. I really liked my experience in sustainability because I got to learn about the world, how to construct paragraphs and how to collect data. I also learned how to get the area, perimeter and volume of 2D and 3D shapes. I especially enjoyed writing paragraphs about sustainability and completing maths activities on mathletics. So to sum it up I really liked term 2 sustainability, therefore I would not like to change anything.

Hey Lyan!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderfully written and constructed post. You have clearly articulated yourself and your learning, which is fantastic to see! It would have been good to see a greater depth in your critique, however, you have done a fabulous job overall! Well done!
