Similies & Metaphors | English

Hi everyone! Welcome to another post today, I completed a slide on similes and metaphors for English. For these terms, I had to identify which one is a simile or a metaphor and have a go at practicing writing some similes and metaphors.

Similes: They are times where you compare two unlike things using the words 'like' or 'as'.

Metaphors: This is used at times where you compare two, unlike things by saying something else is something else.

Metaphors
  1. The fog was a veil.
  2. My sister is a cute panda bear.
  3. Ice cream is my happiness in a bowl.

Similes:
  1. She types as fast as a strike of thunder.
  2. He shines as bright as the morning sun.
  3. He is as loud a rocket launch.
What have I learned?
I have learned about metaphors and how they differ from similes.

How does this work show my learning?
I have completed the activities on the slide and created sentences of my own.

What am I wondering?
I don't have any question as of now.
