My Teacher is the Bomb | English

Hi everyone! Welcome to another post, today I did another task for the figurative slides. For this task, we learned about idioms.

Idioms: Idioms things that are understood in ordinary English and do not mean what they say. Idioms are not meant to be taken literally; e.g ‘My teacher is the bomb!’.

Examples of idioms:

Literal Column:
'Literal' Meaning that it means what it is saying.
A. Chill = Ice

B. Driving up the wall
C. The nose is out of the joint

Making up some idioms:
  1. She drives me crazy!
    - She is making me grow crazy.
  2. You're on thin ice! / standing on thin ice!
    - ex. You're on your last warning.
  3. It's time to hit the hay!
    - It's time to sleep!

What have I learned?
   - I have learned more about idioms what it is used for and how to tell the meaning of the idiom.

How does this work show my learning?
   - I have completed the work that was on the slide and have posted it onto my blog.

What am I wondering?
   - There is nothing I currently have any questions about.
