Female Prime Minister
Hi everyone! Welcome to another post, today I completed an independent task for Power to People Hurumanu. In that independent task, I learned about female prime ministers, for the activity I have to create a fact sheet on a female prime minister of New Zealand. I chose to do one on Helen Clark, because I was wanted to know more about her and how she became a prime minister.

ReplyDeleteYes Helen Clarke is a really important person in the history of New Zealand. While she was the second female Prime Minister in NZ she was actually the first woman to win an election and become the Prime Minister. When she was Prime Minister I once drove her from the Christchurch airport to a meeting in town. I found her to be a bit intimidating (if you don't know that word look it up) because she was well known for being a bit grumpy.
Did you know that Jacinda Ardern has said that Helen Clark was her inspiration for entering politics and she still asks Helen Clark for advice sometimes.
Keep up the great work with your blogs.
