Suffrage Movement
Hi everyone! Welcome to another post, for Power to People we had to complete an individual task. I decided to do one about the Suffrage Movement, we first had to read about the Suffrage Movement, then after that, we had to choose a task to present what we learned. I decided to make an informational poster on the Suffrage Movement.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great topic to research. One of my ancestors (a Great-Great-Aunt, I think) signed the "Kate Shepherd petition" to bring about the vote for women. When I was in Wellington a few years ago I visited the National Archives and saw the petition on display.
Imagine if women didn't get to vote and we didn't end up with Jacinda Ardern as Prime Minister. I think she is doing a wonderful job as PM during the pandemic. Do you think you might like to enter politics when you are older?
