Orana Park Visit

Hi everyone! Welcome to another post, today I would like to share an awesome experience in term 3. In the last week of term 3, we went on a field trip to Orana Park. As you may have seen, I think there was a post here about Orana Park. Orana Park is famous for its animals (of course) and the different species of gorillas. There were many animals but my favourite was the Kea.

What is a Kea?

The Kea is a New Zealand native bird named one of the smartest birds. They look like parrots but with darker green-ish feathers with smaller bottom beaks and the kea also has bright orange feathers inside their wings.

I also took some pictures and videos though they are only off kea and two other animals. I could not take anymore due to the insufficient space on my phone. Though I wish I could have taken more, we also saw some tigers, orangutans, kiwi, giraffe, emu, cheetah, lions, meerkats, different amphibians, rhinoceros, gibbons and other animals. We also got to feed the giraffe, I was scared at first but I was really scared overall. The giraffe pulls hard on the plant and if you did not know the giraffe has a purple tongue so their tongue wouldn't get sunburnt while eating.

Here is a video I have made for the animals I captured through my phone. Enjoy!
