Summer Learning Journey 2018-2019 l Week 3 l Day 4 - Activity 3

WEEK 3: Up, Up and Away

DAY 4: Like a Scene Out of a Movie

Activity 3: Crazy, Cool Clouds [5 points]
Have you ever looked up into the sky and seen a cloud that had a really cool shape? I certainly have, and so have dozens of other people. Take a look at the three pictures of crazy, cool cloud formations below.

From left to right: Picture 1, Picture 2, Picture 3
Clouds are formed when small drops of water stick together. To learn more about clouds and how they are formed, you can watch this cool video. Once you have learned about clouds, please choose your favourite cloud picture.
On your blog, tell us what you see in the photo. What shape(s) do you see? Be sure to tell us which picture (1, 2 or 3) you have chosen and describe what you see in lots of detail!

Picture 2

Clear skies with only one cloud you can see, one of the most wonderous and strangest clouds ever seen. It somehow looked like a mini tornado. With colours as pale as paper, the rare cloud fits in with the sky. It also looks like a bowl, inside has magnificent treasures that sparkle as bright as the brightest star. As the cloud roams the city, people looked up to be entranced with a big and bright cloud. As the days pass the cloud breaks into pieces, but one day the rare cloud will again form and become the centre of attention.

  1. Oooh I love the vocabulary you have included in this writing Lyan! Well done! I especially love the use of the word "roam" and that the cloud will be the "centre of attention."

Do you ever lie back on the grass and look at the clouds? I do sometimes :)
