Hauora

Hello, lovelies today I am here to tell you about Hauora, well basically show you my writing from term 2 (which by the way didn't post). This is just a quick summary of what we have done in that time. Okay so we learned about the body parts of humans and we also learned about health and well being. Well here is my writing with my presentation. Hope you enjoy reading and learn something!

Hauora
What is Hauora
Hauora is about health and well being, it is made out of 4 dimensions.  Hauora uses Whare Tapa Whā it is a house
that is made out of your health which I am gonna talk about later on.  


Taha Tinana


Introduction
Taha Tinana means Physical well being.  It is the first dimension of Hauora, here are some ways of improving
your Taha Tinana


Exercise
Exercise can help you in many different ways, exercising is good because it gives you energy and delivers oxygen
to your brain it also makes your heart and lung health improve.  You should exercise at least 30 minutes a day and
do something up to your ability rather than doing something hard.


Being Active
Being active is a good thing because you can have fun and it can also improve your health rather than just sitting
down and watching T.V.  Being active means allowing your body to practice breathing, stretching and more.
The more you get active the better your body works.


Healthy Eating
Eating healthy is a good thing for your body and for your health.  There are many healthy foods but the healthiest
foods to eat are lemons, broccoli, dark chocolate, salmon and potatoes, these are the top 5 healthiest food.  If
your eating vegetables you should eat it at least 5 times a day and if your eating fruits you should eat it 4 times
a day, make sure that your food is balanced.  


Outside time
Being outside and having fun because it can improve your memory and can it can also help fight off any depression
and anxiety.  Being outside can also help your eyesight and your ability to focus on your work. When you go out
you should spend a least 1 hour or 30 minutes, being outside can also help you live longer.  


The balance of Vitamin - Goal
Balancing your vitamins is a good thing but if you don’t balance them or if you have too much vitamin you can
either have diarrhoea, get stomach cramps or cause nausea.  Balancing your vitamins is good for your health
because you can get healthier and improve your Taha Tinana by making your body active.  


Conclusion
So, in conclusion, we all can say that everything up here can improve your physical well being.  But there are still
many things that can help us improve our Taha Tinana.


Taha Hinengaro
Introduction
Taha Hinengaro means mental and emotional well being.  It is the second dimension of Hauora, here are some
ways you could improve your Taha Hinengaro.  


Asking for help
Though asking for help is hard for other people, it is a most helpful thing to do when you're in need of help.  
As I said it is very important to ask for help because sometimes you might not know what to do.


Expressing your thoughts and feelings
Expressing your thoughts and feelings is a good thing because it can make you feel more relaxed.  If you have a
problem and you don’t want to tell anyone about it, it can affect your Taha Hinengaro because it sometimes makes
people sad.  Sometimes sadness can lead to depression but that doesn’t always happen.


Being Positive
Being positive is a good thing it can inspire other people to be positive and it can mostly make you happy.  Being
positive is important because it can improve your self-esteem and your health.


Doing Good Deeds
Doing good deeds is a very important thing because it can help many people and it can also make you happy.  
Doing good deed can also make other people around you happy. You should always lend a helping hand to people
who are in need our just needs help.  


Growth Mindset - Goal                                     
Having a growth mindset is a good thing being it can motivate you as well as make you happy.  If you're ever
saying “I can’t do this” you shouldn’t be saying that because you should always try your best in everything and
never give up.  


Conclusion
So we could all conclude that everything above here can all improve your Taha Hinengaro.  If you do not do any
of these you will have a weak and unstable Taha Hinengaro.

Taha Whānau
Introduction
Taha Whānau means social well being.  It is the third dimension of Hauora, here I am gonna show you ways to
improve your Taha Whānau.  


Spending time with your family
Some people might not like to spend time with their family and that is because they are just too lazy or they
are teenagers.  But you should at least spend time with your family because they raised you and you should
love them. When you spend time with your family you should be able to bond and have a lovely relationship and
this will help your Taha Whānau improve.  


Build Strong Friendships
Building strong friendships is a very hard thing to do, but it does help you improve your Taha Whānau.  Building
strong friendships can also help you with life, what I'm saying is that good friend with strong friendship can stay
with you and defend you.  Remember you don’t really have to be friends with everyone and make sure you choose
your friend wisely.


Showing respect
Showing respect is probably one of the most important as there are many things it can help with.  But the one
that connects to Taha Whānau is respecting yourself, showing respect to yourself is a good thing and you should
do it.  You should also always show respect to everyone around you, like your friends and bugs, bugs have the
right to live here.


Caring for others
Caring for others is a good thing because it can make other people welcomed.  Even though caring for other is
hard, you should be able to accept everyone and care for everyone.


Give Compliments - Goal
Giving compliments to other people is very fun, but for some people, they just don’t like it.  But giving
compliments is a very good thing as it helps you to make new friends and build strong bonds.  


Conclusion
So, in conclusion, we can all say that everything above here can help improve your Taha Whānau.  Although
some of these are hard to do always remember to follow your values and be nice to other people.


Taha Wairua
Introduction
Taha Wairua means spiritual well being, but it just doesn’t mean going to church it is about your personal beliefs
and what you believe.   Here are ways on how to improve your Taha Wairua


Having Integrity
Integrity is a good thing to have because it can help you focus on your work.  Having integrity means doing the
right even when no one is watching, but it isn’t only that it can be many more things.  Showing integrity is one of
the most important values because it is showing respect, achievement, resilience and commitment.  


Knowing who you are
Knowing who you is about your self-identity, it’s a good thing to know who you are because you shouldn’t be
someone else you should be yourself.  Remember being yourself is being than being a copy of someone else.


Following your values
Following your values is a good thing because it can help you with your life and it can also improve your well
being.   Following your values can also lead you to a great future because you are focused on your work and
always doing the right thing.  


Making Time for yourself
Making time for yourself is a good thing because it can help you relax.  It can help you focus on things and calm
down when you have had a rough day.  You can also use that time to de-stress and do what you want to do.


Having Self Awareness
Having self-awareness means having a clear image of who you are and it also means having the ability to take on
an honest look.  You need to have self-confidence so you can achieve your goals and give yourself a better life.


Conclusion
So, in conclusion, we can all say that everything up here can improve our Taha Wairua.  But remember Taha
Wairua doesn’t just mean going to church, remember to follow your values and always be yourself.  

Walls Of Hauora
Introduction
It is important to balance these four dimensions because it can make you unhealthy.  If you don’t balance it you
will become unhealthy


If you neglect Taha Tinana  
If you neglect Taha Tinana you will eventually become unhealthy, and you will have a physical illness.  You will also have unbalanced vitamin and you won’t be fit, if you don’t go outside or spend enough time outside it will affect your eyesight.


If you neglect Taha Hinengaro
If you neglect Taha Hinengaro, you will lack the ability to make good decisions and you be able to think properly.  
If you ever say something like “This is hard” or “I can’t do this”, you shouldn’t be saying that because everyone
can achieve something if they believe in themselves.  


If you neglect Taha Whānau
If you neglect Taha Whānau you will become an isolated person and you won’t have any support from anybody.  
You will become depressed and you will be a lonely person, you also won’t have any strong friendships and make
sure to find time to spend with your family and yourself.


If you neglect Taha Wairua
If you neglect Taha Wairua you will lack motivation and will be disappointed with your life.  If you do not follow
your values you become a disrespectful person and you won’t succeed in your life.               


Whare Tapa Whā
Whare Tapa Whā is a house that is made out of the dimensions of Hauora, for example, if one of the dimensions
are unhealthy the house will become unstable.  If 3 of the dimension become unhealthy your house will collapse
and you will become an unhealthy and unstable person. All four sides support each and each of them cannot work
alone.  


Conclusion

So, in conclusion, we can say that if we don’t do the things up here we would be unhealthy.  But if we do balance
them we can be a healthy and active person. Remember to always be active, don’t sit around and make sure to
have fun.

Okay so it is a bit long, well a lot longer I hope you lovelies have learned something!

Reflection: I did well, but some sentences didn't make sense the first time I read it. But I improved a lot.
