Activity 3: Picture Perfect [10 points]
While New Zealand is home to some beautiful waterfalls, there are a number of stunning waterfalls in places like Canada and South Africa. In Canada, the largest waterfall is called Niagara Falls. It sits on the border between Canada and the United States of America. Thousands of tourists flock (go) to Niagara Falls every year to see the falls and to have their picture taken in front of this natural wonder. Over the past few years, people have started taking ‘selfies’ and posting them online. Do you ever take selfies?
For this activity, choose one of the following three selfies. From left to right: Selfie #1, Selfie #2, Selfie #3
On your blog, write a short story about what you think is happening in the picture. Be sure to tell us where you think the people are and what you think they were doing at the time that they stopped to pose for the selfie. To earn full points, the story must be 8 – 10 sentences long.

One day a beautiful lady travelled across the world to the land of India. On the way to India, she visited other countries such as Pakistan and Nepal. She even met amazing people, she also ate delicious foods and visited amazing attractions. 10 hours later, she arrived in India and she was amazed by the view. There were tall building with amazing interior and the hills were covered with trees which made it look amazing. She walked around the city met some people and found a hotel she could stay in, and she was amazed by the sight because it was beautiful. The next day she explored the hills and visited lots of famous attractions. A few hours later it was noon and she was visiting a building it was a 4-story building, she climbed up the building and saw the whole city. She walked around the roof and found a spot where she wanted to take a selfie she positioned her self near the end platform of the roof took her phone out and took a selfie. But something bad happened she slipped and fell in the water.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your 'selfie story' Lyan. You've included a lot of detail about the places she went and the things she saw, which makes it really interesting to read. Have you been to any of the places you've talked about? I wasn't expecting it to end like that though - that poor lady! It reminds me of a time when my siblings and I were playing tag and my sister jumped over a pond to get away and she fell in!
