2019 School Wrap Up! (Term 1)

Hi everyone! Welcome to another post, today I would like to acknowledge all the activities, teachers and events that happened this year at our school. This year has been like a roller coaster, there has been some ups and downs. But those times are what makes this year one of the best. At school, many fun and exciting events and activities happened. Soo... What do you say? Shall we get started?

(I also decided to cut these into 4 halves as I think one post with all this information in it would be too long.)

Term 1: Hurumanu, Technology & Japanese

In term 1, personally, it was one of the hardest terms because there were many tests. But we got through it and me happy because we did a lot of cool things that term.

In that term we were also introduced to 'Hurumanu' in Hurumanu we did all sorts of activities, like learning about sports and how to code. My favourite out of the two was learning about sports and that hurumanu was called 'Fast and Furtherest'. I really liked what they called it because it was so catchy and it really brought us it.

In that hururmanu, we learned about softball, continuous cricket and how to improve our skill in athletics. While that was running we also did another hurumanu and that was Digital Change. In that, we used our coding skill to make a change/inform about the climate and some global issues. We had a choice to create an app or a game. For that a chose to make an app, I also made a post about it. Post

In that term, we also got to experience learning about some Japanese. I really liked learning about the Japanese because I got to learn about a new culture and it was really fun. Here are some posts of what we learned.

We also did a really cool technology subject and that was soft fabrics where we got to create things out of fabric. It was really fun and in the end, I made a funny-looking stuffed toy.

In that time we also had a student-teacher Mr Dale, he was a really cool teacher and he had a lot of skill. We also did a different CIP in the first terms, because we were working with 4 different classes and in the CIP we tried to clean the gardens at the back of our school. For the next 2-3 terms, a different class did them and I think they did a great job.
