Hi everyone! Welcome to another post! Today I will be doing another post for the Summer Learning Journey. If you did not know the Summer Learning Journey is a holiday programme. The main reason why it started is to prevent the Summer Slump. The Summer Slump happens when you fall behind in your learning. In my opinion, SLJ is a really great programme to do so that you can keep up with your work
DAY 2: MUSOS
Aaradhna is a Samoan-Indian singer from New Zealand. As a girl, Aasradhna sang traditional Samoan and country song with her family. She became famous in 2004 when she released the song. "Getting Stronger" with the group Adeaze. It's one of my favourites!
Speaking of favourite songs, we would love to know who you listen to and what song you like the most.
For this activity, we had to make a list of our favourite songs.
I decided to make a list of my top 10 favourite songs.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Hello again Lyan!
ReplyDeleteIt's me Nadia here again!
Wow! I am very impressed by this post. You have used by feedback from previous posts and have improved very much since my last comment. You did an excellent job of making a post that is very alluring to the eye and makes the viewer want to read it, although sometimes that can be difficult, you pulled it off, great job!
I really like how you included video clips of each song, this can be very helpful to the reader. You've also made the font very easy to read which I am very glad about.
I haven't heard of some of these songs before, I might have to check them out! Natalia Kills and the Backstreet Boys were the only people I've heard of from your list. What other Genres/musicians do you listen to?
It's becoming harder and harder to give you feedback Lyan, you are doing an awesome job of taking in the feedback you are given, that is a great skill to have, especially once you step out into the real world. I love how you included information about Aaradhna, maybe next time you include background information, maybe you could talk about how it is relevant to the task. I think explaining to the readers why you decided to include bits of information will help them understand your post more.
Great job on this post Lyan! You have improved so much since the first post I commented on!
Keep up the amazing work, enjoy the rest of your holidays!
Until next comment
- Nadia :)
Hi Nadia! I like to listen to folk music because I feel like it is fun to learn about different kinds of cultures. Thank you for always giving feedback, I have improved a lot thanks to you! Please have a great day!
DeleteHello Lyan,
ReplyDeleteIt has been a while since I have commented on your blog, so I saw this blog post and decided to comment on it. I really enjoyed reading this blog post! Let me explain why I like it. Firstly, you embedded the songs onto each slide, so we didn't have to search it up. Secondly, you took the time to put your favourite songs in a google slide. Personally, I like songs that don't have lyrics. I just don't like songs with lyrics. Maybe next time you could say what this activity taught you. Overall, this is a phenomenal blog post! Keep up the astonishing work!
