Hi everyone! Welcome to another post! Today I will be doing another activity for the Summer Learning Journey. Enjoy!
Activity 2: CAINE'S ARCADE
Caine Monroy is a 17-year-old boy who lives in Los Angeles (L.A), California. When he was younger, he spent his summer holidays at his dad's work - an auto parts store in downtown L.A. While his dad was working, he decided to build himself something that he has always wanted - an arcade! He built an arcade all by himself out of cardboard boxes and things that he found lying around the shop.
One day a man came into the store to buy a handle for his car and met Caine. Caine showed him what he had made and the man was so impressed with the arcade game that he made a
movie about Caine and invited all the people in L.A. to come and play the games in Caine's Arcade.
For this activity, we had to explain what our favourite game was. What it's called and how to play it.

This game is called bingo, it is a Filipino game, but I have changed some rules in it to make it more fun and exciting. I wrote about this back in 2019 at the start of the year. It is my favourite game and I love to play it with my friends.

Bingo!

Objective
|
Step on other people’s foot or cut peoples arm and foot out, to get them out and
be the last one standing. (Not actually cutting)
|
Players
|
You must have eight to ten players in one game. You can work in pairs to get other
people out but people must not know you are working together.
|
Scoring
|
To get someone out and get a point you must step on there foot.
|
Winning
|
When there are only two people left in the each have quick turns to get the people out.
|
Rules
| Eight to ten people must be spread out a vast area, they are in a circle. (Preferably a big square.)
There must be boundaries between the players one metre away from each other
or arm length.
To get someone out you must step on their foot before they move away.
Players must be aware of their surroundings and look out for the people who are close to them.
To make a move on someone you must jump, forward and sideways. You cannot move backwards.
You can only move back when a person is attacking you.
When a person attacks you it is when they attempt to step on your foot.
If you fall when you are jumping/landing you are out.
You can’t gang up on one person, you have to at least get everyone out.
To attack you need to attempt to step on there foot, you must move fast to be able to get them out before they move their foot.
When there are only two people left, they must take turns very quickly for either one of them to win.
To start the game you need to gather all the players in the middle.
Once that is done put your foot and hands and the middle and when someone says “Bingo!” You need to jump to the nearest side or corner.
You can’t take two or more jump, you take a step but no more than one.
Another attack is when you cut off someone’s arm, Not actually but just touching the arm, you can also cut their legs. (not literally) |
Hey Lyan,
ReplyDeleteMe again. :)
Well done on completing another Summer Learning Journey activity! You're doing an awesome job getting through them. If you keep this up you'll be finished the entire programme in no time! :)
What a fun sounding game! I bet it gets very chaotic when you've got lots of people playing. It's very different to the Bingo I know. Have you taught this to your friends at school? It'd be fun to play with a whole class of people!
Have a great day, Lyan. I look forward to reading more posts from you soon. :)
Bye for now,
Mikey
Hi Mikey! I actually play this with my friends, there are around 7-8 of us playing and I agree, it is very chaotic. We actually had to make a game for an activity we had at school and I have thought it to a lot of people. It was very fun to play with other people I don't really hang out with! Please have a lovely day!
