Summer Learning Journey 2019-2020 • Week 4 • Day 5 - Activity 3

Hi everyone! Welcome to another post! I am now on my last post for the Summer Learning Journey. It is quite sad that it is ending, it is also sad to think that I probably won't be able to do it next year. So I now bring you Week 4, Day 5, Activity 3 of the Summer Learning Journey 2019-2020.

Enjoy!

If you did not know the Summer Learning Journey is a holiday programme. The main reason why it started is to prevent the Summer Slump. The Summer Slump happens when you fall behind in your learning. In my opinion, SLJ is a really great programme to do so that you can keep up with your work.

Activity 3: CONCLUDING THE JOURNEY

Sadly the Summer Learning Journey has now come to an end. It is time to reflect on everything that you have learned this summer about people who have had an impact or changed the world, in some way.

On your blog please tell us:
  1. Which activity you enjoyed the most
  2. Which activity you enjoyed the least - I enjoyed every activity
  3. Three things that you learned while completing the programme
  4. What changes/improvements you would make to the programme for next year.

School is almost here, please have a great year!

  1. Kia ora Lyan,

Congratulation on completing this year Summer Learning Journey. I hope you are incredibly proud of yourself and all of the hard work you have put in as everyone here on the SLJ team certainly are! Don't forget to use the twitterfeed to comment on other students SLJ blog posts to gain extra points. Here is the link to the twitterfeed:

I am glad that you enjoyed the "own choice" activities. It was great to get a variety of activities as well as being able to choose some of your own. Designing you own car was another fun activity and we saw many amazing designs come through. I will take your idea of extending the programme to year 9's to the SLJ team, thanks for the suggestion.

Well done again Lyan, you did a fantastic job.

Until next time, happy blogging :)
